Selection of design parameters of the reverse coupling gate
Reverse hydraulic valves have many advantages: they are compact, simple in design, easy to install or dismantle. The efficiency of its further maintenance will depend on the correct choice of the standard size of the reverse coupling gate.
Factors determining the durability of the product
Check valves usually make noise during operation, and the noise intensity depends on the material and design of the seal. Sealing elements must meet the following requirements:
- Have a simple, well-streamlined flow design.
- It should be calculated for a certain pressure drop (for a household water supply network – usually up to 40 bar, for an industrial one – up to 100 bar).
- Have minimal hydraulic resistance.
- Function reliably with varying degrees of cleaning of the working fluid.
- Be corrosion resistant.
The choice should also be made taking into account the type of device that is located behind the reverse hydraulic seal: if it is a nozzle, then the permissible pressure drop may be less than the above values, and if the piston unit is a pump or compressor, then more.
Recommended versions of reverse coupling valves are regulated by the technical requirements of GOST 27477-87.
Selection sequence
In industrial hydraulic networks, special coupling valves are used, which have a reduced opening, special bolts and seals of the lid, with a predominantly angular design, two-component cap and bolt, solid chrome linings. The wall thickness of such devices must correspond to the maximum pressure and temperature differences that are accepted during the operation of this network.
For reverse coupling valves used for domestic purposes, the requirements are somewhat simpler, for example, products made of red brass can be used, and chrome plating of the linings is made at the request of the consumer.
In particularly critical cases (use in industrial oil or gas pipelines), the valves are equipped with removable seats and hinged joints of the main parts - covers, housings, gaskets and mounting bolts.
In all cases, it is necessary to carefully check the tightness of the connection. For coupling type valves, the thread is considered the most problematic place: it must be made of a full profile, and fully meet the technical requirements that GOST 6827-68 imposes on these nodes.
If all the above conditions are met, the selected control device guarantees tightness of the connection and free control of the fluid flow, regardless of the place and method of its installation.
