What are the valves for water pipes
Valves are among the most popular types of shut-off valves. Thanks to them, it is possible to increase the functionality of the systems by an order of magnitude.
Why do we need valves
Thanks to the valve devices, the overlap, adjustment and change of the direction of fluid movement in the system is carried out. Increased operational loads lead to rapid wear of the valves. Therefore, they must be serviced periodically and, if necessary, changed.
Classification
The main criteria for dividing valves into separate groups is their function in the pipeline.
List of popular models:
- Shut-off valves. Their other name is valves. With the help of a shut-off valve, you can quickly block the flow, tightly cutting off its two sections from each other.
- Reverse rotary. Designed to block the line at the first signs of reverse flow. The rotary reverse shutter in this case has an axial mount, with an offset from the center. According to the type of design, check valves are simple and shockless.
- Reverse lifting. The shutter is automatically positioned at an angle of 90 degrees with respect to the direction of movement of the substance. As for the so-called "receiving" models with a special mesh filter, they are placed at the beginning of the line.
- Safety devices. They are used in high-pressure engineering networks. After the critical indicator is exceeded by the operating pressure, the safety valve resets it to the normal value. The most widespread models are based on a spring mechanism.
- Regulatory. Combined devices that combine electronic and mechanical stuffing. The control valves are capable of responding promptly to changes in the physical parameters of the transported medium.
- Mixing. Provide mixing of streams from different lines. This makes it possible to reach the required temperature or chemical composition of the final substance.
