Check valves
The main purpose of check valves is to create optimal conditions for the movement of liquids or gases in a given direction (it is indicated by an arrow on the body). In case of backflow, the device prevents it in automatic mode. Thanks to the check valve, the service life of industrial and household equipment, pumps, main lines is significantly extended in the mode of constant changes in the parameters of the technological process. As a rule, conditions for changing the direction of movement of the working environment are created at the time of switching on or off the installations, as well as in case of emergency situations.

Where are they used
The check valve is a universal valve that protects the equipment from the impact of other pressure communications from the working environment. The main part of the device is the shutter. In the heating circuits, the product does not allow the coolant to move in the opposite direction, hermetically blocking the working flow.
Situations where there is a possibility of water moving in a different direction arise when the pumping equipment breaks down. Especially for such cases, rotary and lifting shut-off valves have been developed. It minimizes the likelihood of accidents due to a decrease in pressure in a certain sector. Classification of check valves is carried out according to the material of manufacture and technical characteristics.
The principle of operation
To control the movement of the working medium, a special spool is installed inside the valve: it moves vertically (up or down). The impact of a liquid or gas provokes the lifting of the spool: as a result, the passage opens in a given direction. Upon completion of the flow movement, the spool is lowered onto the saddle, eliminating the possibility of a reverse stroke. The check valve refers to fully automated devices. During installation activities, it is important to observe the correctness of the main direction of the medium: for this there is an arrow on the valve body.
